Use flash cancel when photographing twilight scenes, distant
subjects beyond the flash range, or to capture the ambiance of
existing light.
Shutter speeds may be slow when the flash is canceled. Use of a tripod is recommended.
SELECTING THE FLASH MODE
The flash will fire when the shutter is released regardless of
lighting. Use manual fill-flash to illuminate a backlit subject, or
reduce harsh shadows on your subject’s face.

panel.
