Mounting camera
on
tripod
For
maximum
sharPness
when
making
exposures
too
long
to
Per-
mit
handholding
of
the
camera
(1/30
sec.
or
slower),
mount
the
camera
on
a
tripod
using
the
socket
on
the
camera
bottom.
Screw
the
Remote
Cord
into the
shutter
release
socket
and
release
the
shutter.
o
Do
not use
excessive
force
when
attaching
the
camera to
a triPod.
o
The mounting
screw
should be
5.4mm
11 la
in.l or
shorter.
Self-timer
The camera's
electronic
self-timer
can be
used to delay
shutter
release
for
10 sec.
1. Mount
the camera on
a sturdy
support
(such
as a tripod),
compose
your
picture,
and
focus.
2.
Set
the
mode/shutter-speed
se-
lector at any
setting other than
"8", and
make sure that
the
film is
advanced.
3.
Pull
the self-timer
switch
up.
4. To start the
timer,
press
the
operating
button.
A
visual signal
will
indicate
how
much time
is
left
before
the self-
timer releases
the
shutter.

First
8
sec.:
twice
Per
sec.
Next sec.:
eight times
Per
sec.
Lastsec.:
continuouslY
NOTE
o
You
may cancel
the
self-timer
after
it
has
been
started
by
pushing
the
self-timer
switch
down
or
bY
sliding
the
main switch
to
"OFF"'
o
After
taking
the
picture,
switch
off the
self-timer,
or
the
next
Pic-
ture will be
taken after
a 1O-sec.
delay.
Eyepiece cap
When
using
the
camera
in
auto
mode or
at
"8" and
Your
head does
not shield
the
eyepiece
from
light
(self-timer
operation
or
Remote
Cable
release),
slide
the
eyepiece
cap
onto
the
eYePiece
frame'
This
prevents
unwanted
light
f rom
affect-
lng
exposure.
To keep
it
handy,
the
eYePiece
cap threads
onto
the
camera
strap.
