.
That
is,
the
shutter
will
open
when
the
operat

ing
button
is depressed and
remain
open
until
it
is
released.
NOTE
When a
standard
cable
release
is
used
with
the
XG
and
"8"
setting,
be sure
not
to
let
any
metal
part
of
the
release
touch
any
metal
part
of
the
camera
body
while
the
shutter
is
open
as
this
will
cause
the
shutter
to
close
and
end
the
exposure
.
