KY Inside ensures that you will receive the best sound output possible with your television set due to the
state of the art KY Technology used in your Onida television. The technology that makes KY the
benchmark in the industry, for sound quality.
What makes “KY Inside” the mark of a sound purchase?
KY Technology
Human ears are capable of hearing sound within a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz. But in actuality,
low frequency sound is rarely audible, especially below 100Hz, and therefore most of the information in
the low frequency range is lost to the human ear. Which is why most televisions sound dull, shallow and
far away from the actual sound. KY technology is the result of extensive research by the sound
engineers at frequency range, which would otherwise have been lost, and then boosts the information
to a level where the complete sound enters the audible range. KY achieves this with intelligent
integration of the Sound Separation IC, Audio Amplifier, Speakers and Special Speaker Enclosures.
Sound Separation IC
This is the heart of KY, wherein the audio information received by the television is separated on the
basis of frequency range and then accordingly fed into different sets of speakers.
Audio Amplifier
The low frequencies of sound require special amplification to bring them to an audible level. A very
high-powered amplifier performs this task by boosting the low frequencies in the audio range to
sufficiently high SPL (Sound Pressure Level) to ensure that you do not miss even the faintest tap on the
smallest drum from your favorite song.
Speakers
In conventional music systems large speakers reproduce the low frequency sound but the same is not
possible in televisions because of limitations related to size and aesthetics of the television. KY
technology overcomes this barrier by using small but very powerful speakers with large magnets to give
you sound as close to the naturally sound as possible.
Special Enclosure for speakers
To enhance the low frequency sound, a specially designed enclosure is used to house a set of speakers.
The correct volume of air is maintained inside the enclosure, which restricts the backward movement of
the speaker diaphragm, thus eliminating the reproduction of unwanted frequencies. This calls for
special care in designing the enclosure since the right volume only can produce this effect. But even
the sound waves produced by this recoiling effect are utilized efficiently through a Tuned Port, a result
of extensive research on the travel pattern of sound waves, which collects the reflected sound waves
inside this enclosure and utilizes them to give an additive effect to the entire sound spectrum.
Equipped with all these, KY technology takes reproduction of sound in television to a new height.
Now you know why your new Onida with “KY Inside” gives you awesome digital sound for televisions.
