Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fi re, electric shock and/or injury,
these basic safety precautions should always be followed:
For Your Safety
Read all instructions carefully, even if you feel
that you are familiar with the appliance.
• To protect against the risk of electric shock
DO NOT IMMERSE this appliance into water
or any oth er liq uid.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
children or in fi rm per sons with out
supervision.
• Young children should be su per vised to
ensure that they do not play in or with the
appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a
damaged cord or plug, or after the ap pli ance
malfunctions, or is dropped or dam aged in
any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Use unit indoors in a dry lo ca tion.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of
table or coun ter, or touch hot sur fac es.
Do not op er ate or place any part of this
appliance on or near a hot gas or elec tric
burner or in a heat ed oven.
• The use of attachments or ac ces so ries not
recommended or sold by the manufacturer
may cause fi re, elec tric shock or in ju ry.
• Operate on a level surface. Operation on
uneven surfaces must be avoided.
• Do not use any appliance for an y thing oth er
than its in tend ed use. This prod uct is
intended for house hold use only.
• Do not attempt to repair or dis as sem ble the
appliance. There are no user serviceable
parts.
• Do not put movable or heavy things, burning
candles, containers with liquid, etc. on the
freezer.
• If the unit is unplugged, power lost, or turned
off, you must wait 5 minutes before restarting
the unit. If you attempt to restart before this
time delay, the freezer will not start.
• Do not use wet hands to touch the inner surface
as this will freeze your hands on it.
• Do not store or use gasoline or any other
fl ammable vapours and liquids in the vicinity of
the freezer. The fumes can create a fi re hazard
or explosion.
• Before you throw away any freezer or
refrigerator, take off the door and leave the
baskets/shelves in place so that a child can not
easily climb inside.
Compulsory Warning:
If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly
qualifi ed person to avoid a hazard.
This product has not been designed for any uses
other than those specifi ed in this booklet.
Disposal Warning:
Care must be taken when disposing of this appliance
in order to avoid a hazard. When you dispose of
refrigerators and freezers, remove any doors.
Children can suffocate if they get locked inside.
