Storing Foods
• Do not store food stuffs in the freezer too
close together. This will interfere with cold air
circulation and make the freezer less effi cient.
• To ensure that food stored in the freezer
does not become dry place it in freezer-safe
containers or freezer bags.
Defrosting Your Freezer
• For the most effi cient operation and minimum
energy consumption, defrost the freezer when
the frost on the freezer walls is excessive or
5 mm thick.
• Unplug the freezer. Remove the frozen food
from the freezer and place it in a cooler or fridge
to preserve the food.
• Open the door, remove the lower basket from
the freezer and place a towel at the bottom
to soak up the water and ice. Once all ice has
melted, remove towel and wipe up any excess
water from the base of the freezer and re-install
basket. Plug cord into power and switch on.
• Do not use boiling water because it may
damage the plastic parts. In addition, never use
a sharp or metallic instrument to remove food
or frost as it may damage the inner surface.
