12-74 Simple inspection and service
• On the 6-stud wheels, wheel nuts , outer
wheel nuts and inner wheel nuts are
marked with “ST” or “S·A”. The “ST” mark indi-
cates that these fasteners are for steel wheels
and the “S·A” mark that they are for both steel
and aluminum wheels.
3. Lower the vehicle gently until the tire makes
contact with the ground.
4. Tighten the wheel nuts in the order shown in the
illustration, repeating the tightening cycle 2 to 3
times. Finally, tighten the nuts to the specified
torque.
