6-4 Instruments and warning lamps
The fuel gauge indicates the amount of fuel still
remaining in the fuel tank.
F: Full
E: Empty
When the needle approaches the “E” mark, refuel
as soon as possible.
If the vehicle completely runs out of fuel, air must be
bled out of the fuel system. P. 13-28
CAUTION
Be careful not to allow the engine to run out of
fuel. Engine stall resulting from an empty tank
could cause damage to the fuel injection sys-
tem.
NOTE:
Air will be present in the fuel system after the
engine has run out of fuel. This air will prevent the
engine from starting even after it is adequately refu-
eled. You must bleed the fuel system before the
engine can be started. P. 1 3 - 2 8
