Usage Features:

  • System Configuration: The GOT can be configured with various optional components such as memory boards, flash PC cards, external I/O interface modules, backlights, protective sheets, and debug stands. It also supports connection to audio output devices, printers, and barcode readers.
  • Mounting: The GOT main unit should be mounted to a control box or enclosure with specific clearances from other devices to ensure proper ventilation and prevent noise interference. The mounting angle for the display section should be between 60 to 105 degrees when the internal temperature is 40 to 55°C or less.
  • Wiring: Detailed wiring diagrams are provided for 100AC to 240V and DC24V power supplies. Strict precautions are outlined for grounding, cable routing, and terminal tightening to prevent electric shock, malfunction, and fire. Signal wires should be kept separate from power wires and high-power driving circuits, and grounding wires should be as thick and short as possible. Surge absorbers are recommended for lightning protection.
  • PC Card Access: The memory card access switch controls access to the PC card during power-on. The memory card LED indicates whether the PC card can be loaded/unloaded safely.
  • Touch Switch Operation: The device features touch switches for user input. However, caution is advised regarding incorrect operation, especially if the backlight goes out, as the touch switches remain active even if the screen appears blank.

Maintenance Features:

  • Backlight Replacement: Specific backlight models are required for replacement, depending on the GOT's hardware and function version. Before changing the backlight, the GOT power must be switched off externally in all phases, and the unit removed from its enclosure. Gloves or fingerstalls should be worn, and replacement should begin more than 5 minutes after power-off to avoid burns from heat.
  • Cleaning and Retightening: Before cleaning or retightening terminal screws, the power must be switched off externally in all phases to prevent electric shock or malfunction.
  • Disassembly and Modification: Users are explicitly warned not to disassemble or modify the module, as this can lead to failure, malfunction, injury, or fire.
  • Cable Management: Cables connected to the module must be run in ducts or clamped to prevent damage from dangling, motion, or accidental pulling, which could cause malfunctions. When unplugging cables, the cable portion itself should not be pulled.
  • PC Card Handling: Before loading or unloading a PC card, the memory card access switch must be set to OFF to prevent data corruption. The PC card should be supported by hand when removed to prevent damage.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual emphasizes understanding the equipment operation thoroughly before performing test operations to prevent false output or malfunction. It also notes that the power is reset if an instantaneous power failure occurs, but normal operation resumes if the failure is within specified time limits (20ms for AC, 1ms for DC).
