7. Removing the 4-way valve coil (21S4) and linear expansion
valve coil (LEV-A)
 (1)Removetheservicepanel.(SeeFigure1)
 (2)Removethetoppanel.(SeeFigure1)

 (3)Remove4-wayvalvecoilfixingscrew(M4×6).
 (4)Removethe4-wayvalvecoilbyslidingthecoiltowardyou.
 (5)Disconnecttheconnector21S4(green)onthecontroller
circuitboardintheelectricalpartsbox.

 (3)Removethelinearexpansionvalvecoilbyslidingthecoil
upward.
 (4)Disconnecttheconnectors,LEV-A(white),onthecontroller
circuitboardintheelectricalpartsbox.
8. Removing the 4-way valve
 (1)Removetheservicepanel.(SeeFigure1)
 (2)Removethetoppanel.(SeeFigure1)
 (3)Remove3valvebedfixingscrews(4×10),4ballvalve
andstopvalvefixingscrews(5×16),thenremovethe
valvebed.

Remove4rightsidepanelfixingscrews(5×12)intherear
oftheunitandthenremovetherightsidepanel.
 (5)Removethe4-wayvalvecoil.(SeePhoto7)
 (6)Recoverrefrigerant.
 (7)Removetheweldedpartof4-wayvalve.
Note 1: Recover refrigerant without spreading it in the air.
Note 2: The welded part can be removed easily by
removing the right side panel.
Note 3: When installing the 4-way valve, cover it with a
wet cloth to prevent it from heating (250˚F or more),
then braze the pipes so that the inside of pipes
are not oxidized.
9. Removing linear expansion valve
 (1)Removetheservicepanel.(SeeFigure1)
 (2)Removethetoppanel.(SeeFigure1)
 (3)Remove3valvebedfixingscrews(4×10),4ballvalve
andstopvalvefixingscrews(5×16),thenremovethe
valvebed.

Remove4rightsidepanelfixingscrews(5×12)intherear
oftheunitandthenremovetherightsidepanel.
 (5)Removethelinearexpansionvalve.(SeePhoto7)
 (6)Recoverrefrigerant.
 (7)Removetheweldedpartoflinearexpansionvalve.
