* Autonomy:
How many km can I travel with my electric bicycle? This is essential information
for future owners of an electric bicycle. With regard to the autonomy of a bicycle,
when the battery is fully charged, manufacturers are trying to provide information
which is as realistic as possible. In practice, maximum battery life depends on many
factors: the type of engine, its power, the capacity of the battery (400, 500Wh, or
more), its state of wear and age... But the weight of the cyclist, their position,
cycling style (starting frequency, cycling cadence) and the assistance mode selected
(eco, normal or turbo) also have a great influence on the machine’s autonomy. The
type of terrain (ascent or flat), the surfaces (asphalt or road) and even the wind
(wind against) and the tyre profile also have an impact. For all these reasons, it is
very difficult to provide accurate and reliable information about the autonomy of a
bicycle. Two different users can achieve very different autonomies with the same
bike even when covering the same route.
The information we provide about the autonomy of our products is for a person
weighing 70 kg riding on a flat surface in eco mode.
