SECTION 10 — CHASSIS INFORMATION
CAMELOT 2007
The oil level should be kept between the full
and add marks on the dipstick. Change the
hydraulic oil lters every 15,500 miles or once
a year. When performing uid level checks,
inspect ttings and hoses for signs of leakage.
Avoid untimely and costly failures by having
leaks repaired. To change the lter system a ve
gallon drain bucket is needed. Loosen the band
clamp at the top of the reservoir and remove the
lid. Place the drain bucket under the reservoir
and loosen one of the bottom ttings to drain
the reservoir. Drain only enough uid from the
reservoir to expose bottom lter, then tighten
tting. Remove the wing nut, lter spring and
lter washer. Remove the three drop in lters
and install the new ones. Install the lter washer
and lter spring. Tighten the wing nut until
wing nut reaches end of threaded rod. It is
recommended to install new hydraulic uid. Old
uid may contaminate the hydraulic system. Fill
the reservoir with about three to four gallons to
the full mark. Install top and band clamp. Run
engine to purge trapped air. Check uid level
after fteen minutes of operation. Total system
capacity is about 44 quarts.
AIR FILTER
Air Filter Minder
The air lter restriction indicator relays the
amount of restriction present in the air intake
system and should be inspected before each trip.
If the yellow indicator approaches the red (top)
area of the air restriction indicator, it is signaling
that the air lter is becoming excessively dirty.
When the desired change-out point is reached,
the air lter should be replaced and the service
indicator reset by pushing the Reset button on
the top of the minder. Check every month.
Changing the Filter
To replace air cleaner remove screws and
cover from air cleaner body. Remove air cleaner
cartridge and discard. Install new air cleaner
cartridge and secure with cover and screws.
WARNING
Do not start the engine with the air
cleaner removed and do not remove it
while the engine is running.
LUBRICATION MAINTENANCE
Performing regular scheduled maintenance
ensures reliable operation and optimum
service life of the various chassis components.
Completed maintenance brings peace of mind
knowing the various components have received
proper service. Failure to follow maintenance
guidelines, or perform scheduled maintenance,
results in inefcient operation, premature
component wear or component failure resulting
in breakdown.
Maintenance schedules are usually performed
at certain mile or time intervals. When
performing high level procedures, lower level
service should also be performed.
NOTE
Maintenance schedules are based on
normal operating conditions and use.
Operating under unusual or adverse
condition shortens service intervals.
NOTE
Engine and transmission service
intervals are listed in their respective
manuals.
