active, processor controlled, bi-amped speaker system
W400A
Example 5 :
• MID CTRL halfway
• "flat/ " filter switched OFF
(= pushbutton UP)
• "spk/ "filter switched OFF
(= pushbutton UP)
Rotating the MID CTRL control will gradually attenuate
the middle frequencies in the central voice range.
• When driving the system directly from the input set
to 'microphone' this will result in a grater ‘presence’ or
'loudness' of the voice, but will reduce the intelligibility.
Note: this setting is not suggested when driving the
system from the line input, using the mixer’s output,
because the W400A’ settings will add to the adjust-
ment made with the mixer’s tone controls and graphic
equalizer (if present). The desired tonal balance should
be obtained with the mixer’s controls.
Example 6 :
• MID CTRL in the maximum setting
• "flat/ " filter switched OFF
(= pushbutton UP)
• "spk/ "filter switched OFF
(= pushbutton UP)
Further rotation of MID CTRL control will result in a
grater voice range attenuation.
The ‘voice loudness’ effect is increased, at the expense
of a reduced dynamic range. This setting should be
used at very low levels.
