Usage Features:
- First Use Preparation: Before initial use, users must set the water softener level according to their local water hardness, fill the salt compartment with dishwasher salt (1 kg initially, then as needed), and fill the rinse aid compartment. A test strip is provided to determine water hardness.
- Water Softener System: The appliance is equipped with a water softener to reduce water hardness. The hardness level can be adjusted through the control panel (default is level 3).
- Detergent Usage: Only detergents specifically designed for domestic dishwashers should be used. The amount depends on the cycle, load size, and soil level. Overfilling can cause streaks or glass corrosion, while underfilling can lead to poor cleaning. Combined detergents (all-in-one) can be used, but powder detergents are recommended for short programs.
- Rinse-aid Usage: Rinse aid is crucial for streak-free drying and clear glasses. The dosage level can be adjusted via the control panel (factory setting is 4).
- Loading Recommendations: Dishes should be loaded with coarse residue removed. Cups, glasses, and smaller items go in the upper basket, while pots, pans, and heavily soiled items go in the lower basket. Items should be placed with openings facing downwards. Long-handle and sharp-pointed knives should be placed with points facing down or horizontally to prevent injuries. Care must be taken not to obstruct spray arm rotation or the detergent dispenser.
- Upper Basket Adjustment: The upper basket height can be adjusted to accommodate larger items by using the Rail Stop Clips.
- Programme Selection: The control panel allows users to select from various programmes (Quick 30', Eco, Super 50', Intensive 65°C, Hygiene 70°C).
- Programme Management: Programmes can be changed or cancelled during operation. The machine will stop, and the user can select a new programme or cancel, which initiates a 30-second water discharge.
- Switching Off: The machine should be switched off by pressing the On/Off button once the End light illuminates. The plug should be disconnected, and the water tap turned off.
- Save Power Mode: This mode, active by default, turns off the machine after 15 minutes of inactivity to save energy. It can be activated or deactivated via a specific button sequence.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues like programmes not starting, water remaining inside, machine stopping during washing, shaking/hitting noises, partial food waste, whitish stains, dishes not drying, rust stains, and detergent residue. It also lists automatic fault warnings indicated by LED patterns.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Cleaning: The dishwasher should be cleaned regularly (preferably monthly) to maintain its service life. This includes ensuring correct water softening settings and detergent amounts.
- Filter Cleaning: The filter combination (micro filter, coarse filter, metal filter) should be cleaned at least once a week. To clean, turn the filter combination counter-clockwise, remove it, separate the components, rinse thoroughly under water, and reassemble.
- Spray Arm Cleaning: Spray holes must be kept clear of food waste. If clogged, spray arms should be removed and cleaned under water. The upper spray arm is removed by turning its nut clockwise and pulling downwards, while the lower arm is pulled upwards from the centre.
- Drain Pump Cleaning: In case of blockage, the drain pump needs cleaning. This involves disconnecting power, removing baskets and filters, scooping out water, and carefully removing any foreign objects.
- Door Seals: Door seals should be wiped regularly with a damp cloth to remove accumulated residue.
