tank
resealing
maintenance
or
repair.
INTRODUCTION:
Reports
havebeen
received
that
fuel
and
water
have
been
found
trapped
between
ribs
due
to
one
or
more
rib
drain
holes
sealed
over
during
resealing
procedures.
Service
Bulletin
M20-230
has
been
prepared
for
a
one-time
inspection
of
fuel
tanks.
The
intent
of
this
S.I.
is
to
assure
that
all
fuel
tanks
resealed
by
field
personnel
subsequent
to
the
one-time
inspection
is
done
in
accordance
with
S.B.
M20-UO
and
current
Mooney
procedures.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Refer
to
the
appropriate
section
of
your
Mooney
Service
and
Maintenance
manual,
and
to
Mooney
Service
Bulletin
S.B.
M20-230
land
subsequent
revisions)
when
any
fuel
tank
reseding
is
to
be
accomplished
on
any
of
the
above
listed
Mooney
aircraft
models.
Particular
attention
should
be
shown
to
assure
that
all
holes
required
for
fuel
movement
between
fuel
bays
are
open
and
clear
of
sealant.
