the AAIR System is performing satisfactorily and, if not,
to determine what appropriate action to take. The AAIR
Diagnostic Check should be performed at system
installation, annually, or when repairs or component re-
placement occurs. Diagnostic Checks at a shorter in-

will not affect operable life of the system.
When handling the SDT, the tool shall be protected
from the following harsh conditions:
S High Levels of Shock
S Vibration
S Impact Loading
S Electrical or Static Discharge
S Temperature Extremes

(1) The AAIR Diagnostic Check provides a system
functional analysis of the AAIR circuits as a whole.
Fault isolation of the systems components is accom-
plished by replace- and- retest method.
(2) The System Diagnostic Tool’s (SDT) calibration
must be checked yearly. The calibration sticker on the
back of the unit will indicate when the SDT needs to be
checked. The SDT must be returned to AmSafe for re-
calibration.
(3) The System Diagnostic Tool uses a standard 9- volt
battery, which is replaceable by the user. The unit has a
built- in, low- battery condition alert.
(4) If the System Diagnostic Tool is dropped, it must be
re-calibrated.
-WARNING-
