53-20-00 - PLATES/SKINS
The fuselage tubular structure is covered with a com-
posite shell. The shell is riveted and bolted to support
angles, formers and brackets. This shell is a non- struc-
tural covering.
The skins, covering tailcone, are an integral part of tail-
cone structure. Repair or replacement of these skins
should be according to AC 43.13- 1( ) Chap. 2, Sect. 3.
The fuselage assembly and tailcone have panels, cov-
ers or doors at various locations to provide access to
interior for inspection or maintenance purposes. (See
Figure 53- 3).
Belly skins are removable to provide access to all com-
ponents and control systems located below floorboard.

location and identification.
-NOTE-
PR 1766-B2 sealant should be used on all fuse-
lage lap joints, where bonded, to provide positive
electrical ground plane for electrical systems.
