-WARNING-
Allow no smoking or open flames within 50
feet of the engine compartment area during fuel
leak testing.
A. Turn Master Switch - ON.
B. Turn Fuel Selector Valve to a fuel tank with fuel.
C. Adjust Mixture (red stick) to idle cut- off.
D. Adjust Throttle (black stick) to idle.
E. Turn fuel boost pump - ON
F Adjust Mixture to full rich and Throttle to FULL for
15 seconds.
G.ReturnMixturetoidlecut-off.
H. Inspect fuel flow transducer installation for
leaks.
-NOTE-
Installation of new transducer may affect engine
fuel flow adjustment. It is recommended that pro-
cedures of Section 71-00-50 be followed to as-
sure engine is set up for proper operation.
I. When all adj ustments have been made and all
connections checked for security, install cowling per
Section 71- 10- 00.
73-40-00 - FUEL INJECTOR - GENERAL
The fuel injection system is supplied with engine from
CMI. It is of a multi- nozzle continuous flow type.
Changes in air throttle position, engine speed, turbo-
charger “boost” or combination of these factors, cause
changes in fuel flow.

Manual should be used for operation, installation or ad-
justment of fuel injection system.
73-60-00 - ENGINE DRIVEN FUEL PUMP - IN-
FORMATION
Refer to Continental Motors Inc. Maintenance and Op-
erators Manual for inspection or maintenance of engine
driven fuel pump.
73-60-01 - AUXILIARY FUEL PUMP, LOW BOOST
- SET- UP
No setup procedure for the auxiliary low boost pump.
