Why is steam escaping from my Morphy Richards Electric Pressure Cooker?
- DdaniellopezAug 1, 2025
Steam may escape from the pressure regulator or under the lid cover of your Morphy Richards Electric Pressure Cooker due to several reasons. The steam outlet of the regulator might be blocked, or the red indicator valve may be faulty and needs changing. The sealing ring could be old, damaged, or in need of refitting or cleaning. In some cases, the safety function of the pressure cooker has operated. Also, ensure you are using the correct heat level and amount of liquid, as low heat can cause loss of pressure, and high heat can evaporate the liquid too quickly. Check your recipes for the correct cooking time.
