Remove right
hand side
cover.
Disconnect the
grey
wire
from
the ignition coil
(fig.
1).
Attach one
probe
from
the ohm meter to
the
grey
wire
(fig.
4)
Attach
the other
ohm
meter
lead to a
ground point.
(Example:
Cylinder
head)

suppressor and spark

lighting system
(manufactured
after January

1978), a timing liSht
tester,
Part No. 100031,
must be
used.
An ohm meter will
not register
an accurate
reading.
