Before using this product, read the Important Safety and
Legal Information pamphlet and follow its instructions.
Take a moment before you get started to
familiarize yourself with your new
H710 Headset.

Charge your headset's battery for 2 hours:
CHARGE
Your Headset's Battery
Plug the Motorola charger into the end of
the headset.
The indicator light turns red when the battery
is charging. It may take up to 1 minute for
the indicator light to turn on. When the
headset's battery is fully charged (about 2
hours), the indicator light turns green.
Disconnect the charger.

Note: Headset is not functional while charging.
Note: This product uses a lithium ion, rechargeable,
non-replaceable battery. Under normal use, the expected life
of the rechargeable battery is approximately 400 charges.

START BLUETOOTH
FEATURE
Your Phone
Press (
Menu) > Settings > Connection >
Bluetooth Link > Setup.
Scroll to Power.
Select Change.
Scroll to On.
Press Select to turn on the Bluetooth
feature. The Bluetooth feature remains on
until you turn it off.
Note: These steps are for most Motorola phones.
For other phones, see your phone's user's guide.

Your phone's Bluetooth feature is off by default.

On your Motorola phone, navigate to Bluetooth Link > Handsfree > Look for Devices and select your headset.

Make a call to confirm your paired phone and headset are operating properly. Close boom to turn off.

Using a Second Phone

Pairing a Second Phone

Turn off other paired devices, then turn off headset. Repeat pairing steps for the second phone.

Reconnecting to First Phone

Turn on the first phone, then use it to connect to the headset to re-establish connection to both phones.

Troubleshooting

Headset Not Entering Pairing Mode

Ensure other paired devices are off. Turn off and reopen headset boom if indicator light is flashing blue.

Phone Not Finding Headset

Ensure headset indicator light is on and steady blue when phone is searching for devices.

Headset Not Working

Verify phone is on and Bluetooth is enabled. Restart Bluetooth feature and re-pair if necessary.

Headset Will Not Pair

Press and hold Volume and Call buttons for 10 seconds to enter pairing mode.

Open the headset boom. The indicator light flashes blue or is steadily lit, indicating status.

Turning Headset Off

Close the headset boom. The indicator light will turn off, conserving power.

Wearing the Headset

Wearing Instructions

Open boom and earhook. Loop earhook over ear, press headset to ear, and point boom towards mouth.

Changing for Use on Other Ear

Switching Ear Usage

Open boom and earhook, remove earhook from hinge pin, flip headset, and reattach earhook to the other side.

Changing Volume Button Orientation

Volume Button Orientation

Turn headset off, press and hold desired volume button, then open boom. Keep button pressed until light flashes blue.

Quick Battery Check

Checking Battery Status

Open boom, press and hold Volume buttons to check indicator light for battery charge level and talk time.

Making Calls

Making a Voice Dial Call

Tap the Call button, speak name after tone (primary) or with Volume button (secondary).

Ending a Call

Tap the Call button to end the call, hearing a high-to-low tone.

Answering a Call

Open boom or tap call button to answer a call, hearing a ring tone.

Rejecting a Call

Press and hold either Volume button until you hear a tone to reject an incoming call.

Making Calls Continued

Redial Last Call

Press and hold the Call button until you hear a tone to redial the last outgoing call.

Answering a Second Incoming Call

Press and hold the Call button to answer, placing the first call on hold.

Transferring a Call

Press both Volume buttons and Call button to transfer call to phone, hearing a descending tone.

Muting or Unmuting a Call

Tap both Volume buttons until you hear a mute tone to mute or unmute the microphone.
