Charging the NiMH battery
Charge the NiMH overnight (12 to 16 hours) before using it for the first time, it will only
need up to four hours of charging thereafter.
Turn off the
radio (see
page 9) or
place the NiMH
battery in the
charger
adapter cover.
Plug in the
charger.
At the contacts on the back of the radio, or if
charging just the battery, at the battery
contacts:
Position the charger with the hook on the LED
end of the charger placed over the larger slot.
Snap the hook on the cord end into the
smaller slot.
Note: If you notice the LED flashing red for
more than a minute while clamping the
charger onto the charger adapter cover,
the battery is faulty and should be
replaced.
When the LED turns
solid green, the battery
is fully charged.
Note: When charging the
battery by itself,
remove the charger
from the charger
adapter cover
before installing or
removing the
battery.
