Troubleshooting
The following refer to specific problems:
Is the other party
unable to hear
you?
Press
::
(
+
) if necessary to
unmute the phone.
Also, make sure that your phone’s
microphone is not blocked by its
carrying case or a sticker.
Has the phone
been damaged,
dropped, or got
wet?
Dropping your phone, getting it wet, or
using a non-Motorola battery or battery
charger can damage the phone. The
phone’s limited warranty does not cover
liquid damage or damage caused from
using non-Motorola accessories.
Was a

My phone was
stolen. To whom
should I report
this?
Report a stolen phone to the police and
to your service provider (the company
that sends you your monthly wireless
service bill).
I forgot my
password.
See “If You Forget a Code or Password”
on page 159.
I pressed the
power key, but
nothing
happened.
Be sure to press and hold
P
(the
power key) until the display appears
and you hear an audible alert (this
could take a couple of seconds). If
nothing happens, check that a charged
battery is installed. (See “Installing the
Battery” on page 25.)
