1. Select the desired zone/channel.
2. Listen for ongoing conversations; if the channel
becomes clear, proceed with your call.
3. Press and hold the PTT button to transmit and wait
for the “Talk Permit” tone. The LED will light red. When
speaking, keep the microphone 1-2 inches from your
mouth.

system administrator has preprogrammed the tone to
be off.
