To override PL or DPL:
Toggle the PL / DPL Defeat switch to the predetermined PL
/ DPL defeat position.
You can now hear any activity on the channel. The radio
is muted if no activity is present.
PL / DPL Defeat
When this feature is active, the carrier squelch status
indicator ( ) will be displayed.
