HOW TO GET MOWING
Your Mounteld lawnmower does not contain petrol or oil and these must be added before use.
Running the mower with insucient oil can cause serious damage to the engine and will invalidate your
warranty.
NEVER TIP THE MOWER ONTO ITS SIDE AS THIS WILL FLOOD THE AIR FILTER WITH OIL.
To access the underside of the machine lift the front wheels by lowering the handle to the ground.
Carefully remove the mower from the carton and read these Operating Instructions. An Owner’s Manual for the
engine is also included. Please read this before starting the engine.
WARNING - Unpacking and completing the assembly should be done on a at and stable surface,
with enough space for machine handling and its packaging, always making use of suitable equipment.
Disposal of the packaging should be done in accordance with the local regulations in force
HANDLE ASSEMBLY
• Lift the lower part of the handle.
• Secure the upper part of the handle with washers and locking wheels. There is a cord guide on the right hand
side for the starter cord and handle (gure1). Release the engine brake by holding the Operator Presence Control
(OPC) lever against the handle. Pull out the starter cord and t it into the cord guide. Failure to use the cord guide
will result in premature cord wear.
• Then tighten the locking wheels onto the lower part of the handle. When these have been tightened, the height of
the handle can be adjusted by tightening the screws A with the allen key provided (gure 2).
• Secure the cables in the cable holders (Figure 3). Take care that the cables are not secured too tightly (this may
impair how the mower operates) or impair removal of the grass collector.

GRASS COLLECTOR
• Raise the deector ap and attach the two brackets to the rear of the mower using the screws provided. The brackets
are marked with «L» and «R» and should be installed at the corresponding mark on the rear of the mower (gure 4)
• Fit the fabric bag over the steel frame and then snap the bag onto the plastic top (gure 5).
• To t the grass collector onto the mower lift the deector ap and hook the collector onto the brackets.
NOTE: The lawnmower can be operated without the grass collector. The grass is then discharged to the rear of the
machine. It can also be used as a mulching mower with the plug tted (gure 6).
