5. When the clothing steamer is ready for use, press the latched steam jet button (4). Before
steaming textiles, point the steam jet away from the textile for the first few seconds; the
clothing steamer may eject some water droplets first.
CAUTION! The steam is very hot! Hazard of burns! Never direct the steam jet toward people or animals!
6. Do not release the latched steam jet button (4) while
steaming. You can leave it latched on with the latch
on the button (Fig. 4).
7. To steam the textiles, bring the steamer sole close to
the textile while tugging the textile straight and flat
with the other hand.
CAUTION! Do not hold any textile with a bare hand when
steaming. Do not place the steamer sole on the power cord after
use.
CAUTION! Do not direct the steam jet directly toward metal accessories and appliqués. Steam carefully around
any metal accessories and appliqués.
8. If you are not steaming with the brush attachment, keep the steamer sole 5 cm away from
the textile.
9. The water pump in the appliance will produce continuous low ticking noise, which is
perfectly normal. When the water tank is empty, the water pump will run louder. When this
happens, immediately power off the clothing steamer, unplug it from the mains and leave to
cool down before refilling the water tank.
10. The clothing steamer features an auto-shutoff feature which disables the steam heater
after 8 minutes from the last time you use steam. When enabled, the auto-shutoff feature
is indicated by the flashing of the Power LED indicator (3a). Using the latched steam jet
button (4) will turn on the steam heater again.
11. When done steaming, unlatch and release the latched steam jet button (4), power off the
clothing steamer by pressing and holding the Power switch (3a) for 3 seconds. Now, unplug
the power cord from the mains and leave the clothing steamer to cool down completely.
12. Drain all unused water from the water tank.
HINTS AND TIPS
It is best to steam the textiles on a hanger. To steam a buttoned shirt, button up the collar to
keep the garment from wandering during straightening it with steam.
Steaming may leave small, damp spots on the textiles. The textiles may become slightly damp
to touch because of the steam. When done steaming, leave the textiles to dry before storing
or wearing it.
Steam the sleeves from the shoulders and proceed down to the cuffs. Steam pockets by
proceeding from the bottom up.
Always empty all pockets before steaming.
Use the clothing steamer in the ECO mode. Use the steam blast to level out persistent or
heavy creases.
Spread your laundry straight on the dryer. This reduces stubborn creases.
Steaming can reduce or completely eliminate bad smell from your textiles.
