Why coffee does not come out of my Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker?

  If coffee is not coming out of your Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the water reservoir has enough water. Second, the coffee grind may be too fine; try grinding it less finely. Third, check if you've put too much coffee in the filter, referring to the instructions on page 8 for proper filling. Fourth, verify that the appliance is both plugged in and turned on. Finally, if the coffee has been tamped/compressed too much, refill the portafilter with espresso ground coffee and GENTLY tamp.

  If your Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker is unable to steam, there are a few potential reasons. First, the water reservoir might be empty; fill it with 2 oz of water (up to the steam icon on the fill cup). Second, make sure the unit is turned on by plugging in the power cord and slowly turning the control knob to the Steam position. Third, the frothing wand could be clogged; remove the frothing wand cover and check for any blockages using a needle or paper clip, then follow the cleaning instructions on page 11.

  If coffee is leaking around the edge of the portafilter on your Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker, ensure the portafilter is rotated to the lock position. Also, check for coffee grounds around the edge of the filter and wipe off any excess. Finally, make sure you are not putting too much coffee in the filter; use less coffee.
