Select the desred strp sze settng. As ndcated, the optmal settng s 128KB. Se

lectng any other opton may result n performance degradaton. Even though 128KB
s the recommended settng for most users, you should choose the strp sze value
whch s best suted to your spec󰘰c RAID usage model. The most typcal strp sze
settngs are:
4KB: For specalzed usage models requrng 4KB strps
8KB: For specalzed usage models requrng 8KB strps
16KB: Best for sequental transfers
32KB: Good for sequental transfers
64KB: Good general purpose strp sze
128KB: Best performance for most desktops and workstatons
(2) Select the source dsk
Then select the source dsk that you wsh to use and then clck “-->” to move t to the
“Selected” 󰘰eld. Then clck “Next” to contnue.
It s very mportant to note whch dsk s the source dsk (the one contanng all of the
nformaton to be mgrated) and whch one s the target dsk. On a RAID Ready system,
ths can be determned by makng a note durng POST of whch port the sngle dsk s
attached to.
You can also use the Intel Applcaton Accelerator RAID Edton utlty before the second
dsk s nstalled to verfy the Port and seral number of the drve that contans all the
data.
