Attaching Lower Handle
(Hardware A)
= Raisethe rear of the deck and place it on a
blocksecurely.
* Place the lowerhandle overthe deck aligning
the lowertwo holes inthe handle with the FlangeNut
correspondingholes on the deck. See Figure
2.
Attachthe lower handle to the deck with
shoulderscrews in the upper hole and hex
screws in the lowerhole as shown in Figure
2, secure bothwith hex flange Iocknuts.
Tightensecurely.
Attaching Upper Handle
(Hardware B)
• Place the upperhandle in position overthe
lower handle.The blade control must be on
the upperside of the handle.
= Securethe upper handle tothe lowerhandle
using the carriage bolts, Iockwashersand
hex nuts, see Figure 3. Makesure that the
carriage bolt heads go on the outside ofthe
handle.
Attaching the Chute Deflector
(Hardware D)
The chute deflector providedisa safety device.
Do not operatethe mower unlessthe chute
deflectorhas been properlyinstalled.
• Place the chute deflectorin positionon the
deck, aligning holes.See Figure 4.
• Insertthe carriage bolts from the underside
of the deck up through the chute deflector.
Secure each bolt with a flat washerand
Iocknut.
• Makecertain all nuts and bolts are tightened
securely.
