Attaching The Chute Deflector
3. a. Removethewingknobsfromeach sideof the lower
impellerhousing.
b. Removethehexlocknut,spacers,andhex boltfrom
thetopoftheimpellerhousing.SeeFigure3-3.
4. a. Alignthe chutedeflectorinpositionon the
dischargeopeningand inserthexboltwithspacer
throughhingeon chutedeflector(spacersfit inside
of hinges).SeeFigure314.
b. Placesecondspaceroverhex bolt insideother
hingeandsecurewithhex locknut.
c. Securebothsidesof chutedeflectorto impeller
housingusingwingknobspreviouslyremoved.

5. a. Removethethreecuppedwashersand hexnuts
fromweldstudsaroundtheopeningonthe side of
theimpellerhousing.SeeFigure3-5.
b. Removethehexbolts,flat washers,andlocknuts
fromthetwoholeson theupperendofthesupport
brace.
6. a. Alignthe chipperchuteoverthe weldstuds,sothe
slotinthebottomofthechuteis facingdown.
b. Securechipperchutewiththe threecupped
washers(cuppedsideagainstthe chipperchute)
and hexnutspreviouslyremoved.Do nottighten
thenutsatthistime. SeeFigure316.
