MANUFACTURER'S LiMiTED WARRANTY FOR
Thelimitedwarrantyset forthbelowis givenbyMTDLLCwithrespect
tonew merchandisepurchasedandusedin the UnitedStates,its
possessionsandterritories.
"MTD"warrantsthisproductagainstdefectsin materialandworkman-
shipfor a periodoftwo (2) yearscommencingon thedateoforiginal
purchaseandwill,at itsoption,repairor replace,free of charge,any
partfound tobe defectiveinmaterialsorworkmanship.This limitedwar-
rantyshallonlyapplyifthisproducthasbeenoperatedand maintained
inaccordancewiththeOperator'sManualfurnishedwiththe product,
andhasnotbeensubjecttomisuse,abuse,commercialuse,neglect,
accident,impropermaintenance,alteration,vandalism,theft,fire,water,
ordamagebecauseof otherperilor naturaldisaster.Damageresulting
fromtheinstallationor useofany part,accessoryor attachmentnot
approvedby MTDforusewiththe product(s)coveredbythis manual
willvoidyourwarrantyas to any resultingdamage.
Normalwearpartsare warrantedto befreefromdefectsinmaterialand
workmanshipforaperiodofthirty(30)daysfromthe date of purchase.
Normalwearpartsinclude,butare notlimitedto itemssuchas: batter-
ies,belts,blades,bladeadapters,grassbags,riderdeckwheels,seats,
snowthrowerskidshoes,shaveplates,augerspiralrubberandtires.
HOW TO OBTAIN SERVICE: Warrantyservice is available, WITH
PROOFOF PURCHASE,through your local authorized service

Thislimitedwarrantydoesnot providecoverageinthe followingcases:
a. Theengineor componentpartsthereof.Theseitemsmaycarrya
separatemanufacturer'swarranty.Referto applicablemanufacturer's
warrantyfor termsand conditions.
b. Logsplitterpumps,valves,andcylindershavea separateoneyear
warranty.
c. Routinemaintenanceitemssuchas lubricants,filters,blade
sharpening,tune-ups,brakeadjustments,clutchadjustments,deck
adjustments,andnormaldeteriorationof the exteriorfinishdueto
useor exposure.
d. Servicecompletedbysomeoneotherthanan authorizedservice
dealer.
e. MTDdoesnot extendanywarrantyfor productssoldor exported
outsideofthe UnitedStates,its possessionsandterritories,except
thosesoldthroughMTD'sauthorizedchannelsof exportdistribution.
f. Replacementpartsthatarenot genuineMTDparts.
g. Transportationchargesandservicecalls.
No impliedwarranty, includingany impliedwarranty of mer-
chantabilityof fitness for a particularpurpose,applies after the
applicable periodof expresswritten warranty above as to the
partsasidentified.No other expresswarranty, whether written or
oral,exceptas mentioned above,givenby any personor entity,
includinga dealeror retailer,with respectto any product,shall
bind MTD.Duringthe periodof the warranty,the exclusiveremedy
isrepair or replacementof the productas setforth above.
Theprovisionsassetforth inthis warranty providethe soleand
exclusiveremedyarising from the sale. MTDshallnotbe liable
for incidentalor consequentiallossor damageincluding,without
limitation,expensesincurredfor substituteor replacement lawn
careservicesor for rental expensestotemporarily replace a
warranted product.
Somestatesdo notallowthe exclusionorlimitationof incidentalor
consequentialdamages,or limitationsonhowlongan impliedwarranty
lasts,sothe aboveexclusionsor limitationsmaynotapply to you.
Innoeventshallrecoveryof any kindbegreaterthanthe amountof the
purchasepriceof the productsold.Alterationof safety features of
the product shall void this warranty. Youassumethe riskandliability
forloss,damage,or injuryto you andyourpropertyand/orto othersand
theirpropertyarisingoutofthemisuseor inabilitytousethe product.
This limitedwarrantyshallnot extendto anyoneotherthan the original
purchaserorto thepersonfor whomit waspurchasedas a gift.
HOWSTATELAWRELATESTOTHISWARRANTY:This limited
warrantygivesyou specificlegalrights,and youmayalsohaveother
rightswhichvaryfromstateto state.
