TheREVERSECAUTIONMODEpositionof the key
switchmoduleallowsthetractorto be operatedin
reversewiththeblades(PTO)engaged.
IMPORTANT:Mowingin reverseis not recommended.
Tousethe REVERSECAUTIONMODE:
IMPORTANT:TheoperatorMUSTbe seatedinthe
tractorseat.
1. Starttheengineaspreviouslyinstructedinthis
Operator'sManual.
2. Turnthe keyfromthe NORMALMOWING(Green)
positiontotheREVERSECAUTIONMODE(Yellow)
positionofthekeyswitchmodule. SeeFigure12.
3. Depressthe REVERSEPUSHBUTTON(Orange,
TriangularButton)atthetop,rightcornerof the key
switchmodule.Theredindicatorlightatthetop,left
cornerof the keyswitchmodulewill beON while
activated.See Figure12.
4. Onceactivated(indicatorlightON), thetractorcan
bedrivenin reversewiththe cuttingblades(PTO)
engaged.
5. Alwayslookdownand behindbeforeandwhile
backingtomakesureno childrenarearound.
6. Afterresumingforwardmotion,returnthe keyto the
NORMALMOWINGposition.
IMPORTANT:TheREVERSECAUTIONMODEwill
remainactivateduntil:
a. Thekeyisplacedin eitherthe NORMALMOW-
INGpositionor STOPposition.
b. Theoperatorleavesthe seat(ModelswithElectric
PTOONLY).
c. Theoperatorengagestheparkingbrakeby fully
depressingthebrakepedalandholdingitdown
whilegentlypushingthe parkingbrakebutton
inward(Modelswith ManualPTOONLY).

Engaging the Parking Brake
Toengagetheparkingbrake:
1. Fullydepressthebrakepedalandholdit downwith
yourfootwhilegentlypushingthe parkingbrakebutton
inward.
2. Holdtheparkingbrakebuttoninwhile removingyour
footfromthe brakepedal.
3. Onceengaged,the parkingbrakebuttonandthe brake
pedalwilllockin the "down"position.
Todisengagetheparkingbrake:
1. Slightlydepressthebrakepedal.
NOTE:Theparkingbrakemustbeengagedif the operator
leavestheseatwiththeenginerunningor theenginewill
automaticallyshutoff.
Setting the Cutting Height
1. Selecttheheightpositionofthecuttingdeckbyplacing
thedecklift leverin anyof the sixdifferentcutting
heightnotchesonthe rightsideof the fender.
2. Adjustthedeckwheelssothattheyare between
1A-inchandV2-inchabovethe groundwhen thetractor
isona smooth,flatsurfacesuchas adriveway.
