to extended
position.
(B) Tighten star
knobs.
(A) Hold blade
control handle
against upper
handle.
(B)(C) Slowly
pull starter rope
from engine and
slip starter rope
into rope guide.
(D) Tighten
rope guide wing
knob.
Place ends of lower
handle onto handle
brackets. Insert
carriage bolts and
tighten with wing nuts.

Priming the Engine

Push the primer five times to prepare the engine for starting.

Starting the Engine

Pull the starter rope with a quick, full arm stroke. Repeat if necessary.
