Why is my MULTIQUIP Whiteman J36H55 engine running rough or not starting?

  If your MULTIQUIP Trowel engine is running rough or not at all, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the Engine ON/OFF Switch is in the ON position. If it is and the problem persists, the switch may be malfunctioning and require replacement. Also, if applicable, check the centrifugal stop switch to be sure it is working correctly when the operator is seated, replacing it if necessary. Inspect the fuel system to confirm fuel is being supplied to the engine and that the fuel filter isn't clogged. Next, verify that the ignition switch has power and is functioning as it should. Examine all wiring for loose connections, repairing or replacing as needed. Finally, bad contacts in the ON/OFF switch can cause issues, so consider replacing the switch.

  If your MULTIQUIP Trowels is bouncing, rolling concrete, or leaving uneven swirls, begin by checking the condition of the blades. Make sure they are not excessively worn. Finish blades should measure at least 2 inches (50mm) from the blade bar to the trailing edge, while combo blades should measure at least 3.5 inches (89mm). Ensure the trailing edge of the blade is straight and parallel to the blade bar. Verify that all blades are set at the same pitch angle, measured at the spider. Bent trowel arms can also cause this issue, so inspect the spider assembly for any bends and replace any bent arms immediately. Check the fit of the arms in the spider; if there's more than 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) of movement at the arm tip, replace both the spider and arms. Examine the thrust collar for flatness by...
