The Nadoli Shower Base is a home design product, specifically a shower base designed for installation in bathrooms. Its primary function is to provide a waterproof and stable foundation for a shower enclosure, directing water towards the drain. The manual emphasizes that proper installation is crucial for the longevity and functionality of the product.

The shower base has specific dimensions detailed in the diagram on the first page:

- Drain hole diameter: 3-9/64" (80mm)
- Distance from the wall to the center of the drain: 12" (305mm)

- The base features an indentation designed to ensure water flows back to the shower base and towards the drain.
- The recommended wall thickness for installation is 20-30mm.
Usage Features:
The shower base is designed for use in residential bathrooms. The installation process involves several steps:
- Preparation: Before starting, it is essential to read the manual carefully and completely. Safety glasses are recommended during installation.
- Wall Framing: The installation requires proper wall framing. All framing and plumbing work must be completed according to the instructions. Ensure that outer walls are properly insulated, and a vapor barrier is installed in accordance with established building codes.
- Leveling: The walls of the shower enclosure must be level for adequate installation. The base can be installed in either a corner model or a rectangular model, with specific instructions provided for each.
- Mortar Bed: A mortar bed is required for installation to ensure stability and proper leveling of the shower base. The manual shows the application of mortar under the base.
- Securing the Base: The base is secured to the wall studs using screws (Ref. A) and a drill bit (1/8").
- Sealing: After installation, a 24-hour waiting period is required before proceeding with the installation of the shower door. This allows the finish and mortar to dry completely. Silicone sealant is then applied around the edges of the base where it meets the walls to create a waterproof seal.
- Waterproofing: The diagram on page 6 illustrates the layers of materials involved in the installation, including gypsum, ceramic tiles, silicone, the shower base, and wall studs, highlighting the importance of a watertight seal.
Maintenance Features:
The manual provides specific care instructions for the Acrylic Shower Base:
- Cleaning: To protect the acrylic surface, never use scouring powder pads or other strong solvent cleaners. Only clean with a mild detergent diluted in water or a detergent formulated specifically for acrylic.
- Stain Removal: For stubborn stains, a mixture of baking soda and water can be used. Apply the paste, let it sit for a few minutes, then gently scrub and rinse.
- Prevention: Avoid using abrasive or corrosive cleaners, steel wool, acetone, dry cleaning products, or ammonia, as these can damage the acrylic surface. If a shower mat is used, it must be removed right after each use to prevent discoloration.
Nadoli offers a limited warranty for its shower bases and doors:
- Shower Bases and Walls: 10-year limited warranty for acrylic and fiberglass against manufacturing defects. The warranty covers drain, cover, polypropylene, and PVC components.
- Shower Doors: 10-year limited warranty for tempered glass. The warranty covers handles, diverters, screws, rails, towel bars, and guides.
- Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, overuse, non-residential use, neglect, lack of maintenance, or the failure to follow installation instructions. It also excludes damages caused by the acts of God or breakage resulting from a shock or mishandling, and damages caused by improper installation. Nadoli is not responsible for damages caused by a water leak if they result directly or indirectly from a product defect, except where the applicable legislation does not allow any exclusion or limitation following direct or consequential damages. The warranty does not cover the costs of removal or reinstallation.
- Claim Process: To make a claim, the product or component must be defective or the finish damaged following a normal domestic and residential use. Nadoli commits to replacing the defective part or the finish damaged. Nadoli will also, at its sole discretion, commit to offer a full replacement. No indemnity shall be claimed for loss of enjoyment of life, loss of income, or losses caused by water.
The manual is provided in both English and French, ensuring accessibility for a broader user base. It emphasizes the importance of following instructions to ensure a successful installation and to maintain the product's warranty.
