Table 3-5 Faults which, if encountered, will cause indication only
Item Fault Condition Remarks
1. Exciter The output level of the exciter lowers by
3dB.
Another exciter is selected.
2. PA The output level of PA lowers by 2dB. Even when the output level of
the exciter is not normal, the
PA will not be determined to
be abnormal.
3. Output Power The output power of the transmitter rises
by 0.8dB or lowers by 1dB.
b) Reset
To reset the transmitter after one of the faults described in item a) above is
encountered, depress the Reset switch to restart the transmitter and extinguish
the LED indication on the operation panel. It should be noted, however, that
although reset can be carried out in both Local (on the operation panel) and
Remote modes, the LED indication on the operation panel can be extinguished
in the Local mode only.
