CSD Utilities
CSD provides several programs and routines designed to make your Versa run
more efficiently.
The CSD utilities include:
n Customize Utility
n HDPREPEZ Utility
Customize Utility
In Windows 95 systems and Windows NT systems, the Customize utility gives
you the option to install or launch:
n Custom wallpaper — use this option to install wallpaper displaying the
NEC or ZDS logo.
n Applications and Drivers CD — must use this option to install software
applications, drivers, etc.
n VersaBay Swapping Utility (Windows 95, only) — must use this option
to take advantage of warm swapping your VersaBay devices.
n IR setup utility to enable the IR port (Windows 95 only) — must use this
option to enable the IR port.
Note: For details about how to access and use the IR
setup utility, see Chapter 4, “Using the Hardware.”
n Mouse driver (Windows NT only) — must use this option to take
advantages of the VersaGlide features described in Chapter 4, “Using the
Hardware.”
The Customize Utility screen consists of the following.
n A window at the top half of the screen lists the available options.
n The window below the options list displays a description of each option
when the option is highlighted.
n The Launch button initiates a selected option when clicked.
n The More Info button provides an overview of the Customize Utility.
n The Exit button closes the Customize Utility.
Using the Customize Utility
Follow these steps to use the Customize utility.
