Wash the ceramic cook pot and glass lid with hot soapy water with a sponge or
dish cloth, rinse and dry thoroughly.
IMPORTANT: Do not immerse the slow cooker base or cook pot in water.
NOTE: Always use caution when placing your cook pot on a glass or ceramic stove top,
laminate countertop, or other surface. The bottom surface of the cook pot may scratch
some surfaces if caution is not used. Use a non-flammable pad under your cook pot to
prevent possible damage to the surface.
NOTE: First time use may result in minimal odor or smoke. Residue or oil from the
manufacturing process may be present inside the appliance. This is normal and
harmless and will dissipate once the appliance is used for a short period of time.
1. Place the slow cooker base on dry, flat, level, heat-resistant surface.
2. Place prepared food into cook pot and place pot into the heating base. Place lid on
cook pot.
NOTE: Never place very cold or frozen foods into the cooking pot if preheated. If
the cooking pot is frozen, DO NOT run under hot water, the ceramic pot
could crack.
3. Plug cord into 120 Volt outlet.
4. Set desired cooking setting (Low, High or Warm). The LOW setting is
recommended for “all day” slow cooking. HIGH will cook faster. Refer to your
specific recipe for more precise timing. The WARM setting is for keeping already
cooked food at the perfect serving temperature. Food can be kept warm for up to
4 hours.
NOTE: DO NOT cook on the WARM setting. Using this setting for more than 4 hours
may result in over-drying of the food or altering the flavor. The indicator light will be
illuminated showing that the power is on and unit is heating.
5. After the desired cooking mode is set, the unit will continue to heat until manually
turned o.
6. Turn the slow cooker to the OFF position, and unplug the appliance from
the outlet.
