TYRES & WHEELS
MOTOR
CLEANING
Always ensure tyres are inated to the recommended pressure. This can be found written
on the side wall of all tyres. The 345-E has 20 x 4-inch road tyres that should be pumped
up to 20psi / 1.4 bar. Tyres that are too hard or too soft can reduce performance,
increase tyre wear and make riding unsafe. As well as making sure tyres are properly
inated you should also check for any damage and replace them if there is signicant
wear, or large cuts to the tread or sidewalls. Worn or damaged tyes are more likely to be
punctured by road debris. Replacement tyres and innertubes can be purchased directly
from our website (newgenbikes.com).
If your wheels do not spin freely, wobble, or spokes are loose, do not attempt to x them
unless you have adequate knowledge, tools and experience. We recommend that a
certied, reputable bike mechanic performs all wheel servicing.
Ensure the hub motor spins smoothly and the bearings are in good working order. Make
sure all power cables running to hub motor are secured and undamaged. Also check the
hub motor axle bolts are tightly fastened.
Make sure to remove the battery before cleaning and maintaining your 345-E. Clean the
frame like any other bicycle with soap and water, using a soft cloth or sponge so as not
to scratch the paint. Take care not to spray electronic components or moving parts such
as the chain or wheel bearings directly with a hose because this may damage them or
reduce their lifespan. Keep the battery casing dry and wipe it down with a dry or damp
cloth to clean it.
Do not submerge the bike, hub motor or battery in water. It’s not a submarine.
