The NextLED Rechargeable, Dual Head LED Work Light with Telescoping Tripod is engineered to address a broad spectrum of lighting requirements. This versatile work light offers three distinct illumination settings, providing super bright output at 5,000 lumens on high power, a moderate 1,500 lumens on medium power, and a softer 500 lumens on low power. Users can select between bright white and daylight modes for all three settings, enhancing adaptability for various tasks and environments.
The device offers dual power options for maximum flexibility. It can operate using its rechargeable battery for tasks requiring shorter duration illumination or be corded for extended use, ensuring continuous light without interruption. Its design incorporates easy and infinite adjustment capabilities, allowing users to precisely position the light where it is most needed. The tripod base is highly adaptable, extending fully to 75.5 inches for elevated lighting and collapsing compactly to just 35 inches for convenient transport and storage. Constructed from tough, lightweight aluminum, the work light is durable yet easy to handle. The package includes two lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and a charging cable, providing a complete solution for immediate use.
For safe operation, it is crucial to adhere to all instructions and warnings. The fixture must always be used in accordance with all electrical and safety codes and ordinances, including the most recent National Electric Code (NEC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Volume 1 on General Industry Standards and interpretations. Users must always ensure that the power source matches the fixture's rating. It is important not to inspect or service the fixture while charging. This fixture is designed for indoor use and must be kept dry. It should not be opened, dropped, short-circuited, incinerated, or exposed to temperatures exceeding 140°F, nor should it be charged or used if damaged. Individuals with pacemakers should consult their physician before use, as electromagnetic fields in close proximity could interfere with or cause pacemaker failure. The fixture is not explosive-proof and must not be used in potentially dangerous locations, such as those with flammable or explosive atmospheres. The light should never be operated with broken or removed clear protective glass. Users should avoid looking directly into the light source, as the extremely bright LEDs can cause eye damage with prolonged exposure. The device should be kept away from heating vents, radiators, or other heat sources and out of reach of children.
Lithium battery safety is paramount. Lithium batteries store a significant amount of energy and can vent fire or explode if mistreated. The work light must be kept dry. Users should never drop, open, short-circuit, puncture, incinerate, or expose the battery pack to temperatures greater than 140°F. The work light should only be charged according to the provided instructions.
For battery operation, pressing the lower power button once turns on the LED light to the lowest illumination setting of 500 lumens. A quick second press brightens the light to the medium setting of 1,500 lumens. A third quick press activates the full power of 5,000 lumen LEDs. A final press of the lower power button turns the light off.
In corded operation, pressing the lower power button turns on the LED light to 1,700 lumens. A second press of the lower power button turns the light off.
To alternate between bright white LED and daylight LED modes, first press the lower power button to achieve the desired illumination level. Then, press the upper lighting selection button to switch between the bright white LED setting and the daylight LED setting.
Setting up the tripod involves a few simple steps. Unlatch the top release lever to loosen it, then slide the top portion to the desired height and lock it into place. Similarly, unlatch the bottom release lever to loosen it, slide the bottom portion to the desired height, and lock it into place. For convenience, the latches are designed with standard Philips screws, allowing users to slightly tighten or loosen the locking tension to their preference. To set up the legs, simply pull each of the three legs downward until they automatically lock into place.
For tripod storage, unlatch the top release lever to slide the top portion downwards, fully closing the unit. Then, unlatch the bottom release lever to slide the bottom portion downwards, fully closing the unit. To fold up the legs, slide the release lever downwards to unlock the pin holding the leg in place. While sliding the release lever down, gently pull up on the leg to fold it all the way upwards until snug. The legs are designed for stability, and users may need to gently pull up or down on the leg to align and disengage the locking pin. Pulling too hard can damage the pin and prevent proper alignment.
Maintenance should only be performed by qualified service personnel. Opening or attempting to repair the work light without authorization will void the warranty and may cause damage to the product or personal injury. Solvents such as gasoline, turpentine, or other chemicals should not be used to clean the unit, as aerosols and other chemicals can fog the clear polycarbonate lens.
For battery charging, both lights must be charged simultaneously. Connect the power cord adapter into the underside of the LED, where the pin adapter inserts. To ensure proper connection, fully insert the power cord adapter until an audible click is heard. To remove, turn the power cord adapter counterclockwise to unlock and remove it. Then, connect the plug end of the charger into an electric outlet. The LED light can be fully operational as long as the power cord is plugged into the wall, even if the batteries are not charged. During charging, four blue lights on the unit will light up and blink. Once all four lights are fully illuminated, the unit is fully charged, and the adapter should be unplugged. Charging must only be done indoors. Always use the 8.4V / 3A charging cable and adapter that came standard with the unit, as using a non-compatible charger could damage the work light or cause personal injury.
