Do not operate the hardware in a manner not specified in the user documentation. Device misuse can result in a hazard. You can
compromise the safety protection if the device is damaged in any way. If the hardware is damaged, return it to National Instruments
for repair.
Getting Started
Caution
For EMC compliance, the USB cable must be less than 2.0 m in length. Also, wires attached to the MIO screw
terminal connector must be less than 30.0 cm in length.
Components must be installed in the correct order. To get started with your NI myDAQ, complete the following steps:
If you are not installing software from media shipped with your device, install all application software first (LabVIEW,
NI Multisim) before installing the driver software (NI ELVISmx).
If the Instrument Launcher is not open, go to Start»All Programs»National Instruments»
NI ELVISmx for NI ELVIS and NI myDAQ»NI ELVISmx Instrument Launcher.
