Use the built-in flash for additional lighting when the subject is
poorly lit or to “fill-in” (illuminate) back-lit subjects.

Raise the flash.

Choose a flash mode (0 92).

Take pictures.
The Built-in Flash
Press the flash pop-up button to raise
the flash.

Press 3 (N) on the multi selector to
display a list of flash modes, then use
the multi selector to highlight the
desired mode and press J to select.
Charging begins when the flash is
raised; once charging is complete, a
flash-ready indicator (N) will be dis-
played when the shutter-release but-
ton is pressed halfway.
