Flash button: Press this button to release the pop-up flash. You can
also use it to increase or decrease the power of the flash.
Infrared Receiver: This dot is what receives the signal from a wireless
remote.
INSIDE THE CAMERA
If you take off the body cap on the front of the camera, you’ll see a mirror inside. The
mirror bounces the light up into the viewfinder, which is what lets you to see what the
lens sees. The sensor that records your photograph is located behind the mirror.
LEFT SIDE OF THE CAMERA
Lift up the cover to access the following connections:
The top connector is for attaching a video cable to hook your camera
up to a television.
The slot in the middle is the reset switch, which should only be used
if the camera stops functioning and other solutions (such as removing
and replacing the battery) don’t solve the problem.
The bottom is for the USB cable, which is used to connect the camera
to a computer.
