Setting a file format and a file size
1) Set a file format in which you want files to be saved.
• Select either “JPEG” or “BMP” in File Type. If you select “JPEG”, you
need to set a compression rate. This can be selected from four
choices, “Fine” to “Draft”, available in JPEG Quality.
2) Select photographing mode in SOURCE.
• Normally, select "s5M" (for DS-5M/DS-5Mc) or "s2M" (for
DS-2Mv/DS-2MBW/DS-2MBWc), which is for high picture quality.
3) Select an image size to be saved in SIZE.
• Select one of three choices available: “2560∗1920, ” “1280∗960, ”
or “640∗480” for DS-5M/DS-5Mc.
• Select one of three choices available: “1600*1200, ” “800*600, ” or
“400*300” for DS-2Mv/DS-2MBW/DS-2MBWc.
• However, if you save images in overlay mode, the image size is
automatically set to 1280∗960 overriding whichever image size
you’ve selected.

TOOL Menu” in Chapter VI of the instruction manual.
* Once you’ve finished making your settings, press the SAVE
button to save them.

Press Return to Window to return to the image display screen.
