Perform a fi nal check.
If you are using an underwater fl ash unit, check
that the built-in fl ash is raised; otherwise, be
sure the fl ash is lowered.
Does the zoom ring rotate smoothly and does it adjust zoom? If not, reposition the zoom
gear sleeve.
Is the inner-refl ection prevention ring attached?

Is the O-ring cracked or damaged?
Is the O-ring twisted or out of position?
Is the O-ring free of hair, dust, sand,
and other foreign objects?

Are the O-ring seal and watertight channel free of
liquid, hair, dust, sand, and other foreign objects?
Is the desiccant correctly placed?
Is the camera in the
correct orientation?
Has the camera strap
been removed?

Close the case.
Close and latch the case.
