6.5 Essential performance
Essential performance for NIOX VERO Nasal Measurement Mode consists
of
1. The measurement of the NO concentration of air aspirated from the
nasal cavity
2. The measurement of nasal NO for screening of diseases such as
primary ciliary dyskinesia according to ATS/ERS
NIOX VERO contains internal monitoring functionality for safety and essen-
tial performance parameters. Recurrent testing is not necessary to maintain
essential performance or basic safety.
