humid air coming into contact with the cold surface of your heat pump’s coil). Condensation should not be
confusedwithleaking.
a) ThebreakerorthefuseisONandtheheatpumpisproperlyconnected(greenindicatorlightontheunit).
b) Thecirculatingpumpisrunningatfullcapacity,istherightsize(1.5HPisrecommended)andthefiltersareclean.
c) Thegaugeontheheatpumpindicatesbetween10and15psi,forsufficientflow(carryoutabackwash).
d) Servicevalves(waterintakeandwateroutlet)areintheopenpositionandthebypassvalveisclosed.
e) Thethermostatissethighenough.
f) Thedesignoftheplumbingisinkeepingwithbestpractices.
g) The fins are not blocked by pollen, leaves, grass, etc. (clean with a garden hose, from top to bottom and not
towardstheinsideofthemachine).
h) Whenthe airtemperature varies byabout7°C,the heatpump maythenenteracycleof stopsand startsas it
goesintode‐icingmode.
Duringcoldweather,frostmayformontheevaporator.Thisisnormal.However,ifyousee½”oficeormore,contact
usimmediately.
REPAIR
Ifyourheatpumpstilldoesnotoperateaftertheseverifications,contactyourselleroryourmanufacturer.
