Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
WARNING:
Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Serious burns could occur form high pressure
coolant escaping from the radiator
1. Drain engine coolant from radiator. Refer to CO-10, "
Changing Engine Coolant" .
CAUTION:
Perform when engine is cold.
2. Remove air cleaner duct assembly. Refer to EM-14, "
AIR CLEANER AND AIR DUCT" .
3. Disconnect radiator upper hose.
4. Disconnect fan motor connectors.
5. Remove radiator cooling fan assembly.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
● Cooling fan is controlled by ECM. Refer to EC-527, "DTC P1217 ENGINE OVER TEMPERATURE" .
Disassembly and Assembly of Radiator Fan

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove fan blade.
2. Remove fan motor from fan shroud.
ASSEMBLY
Assembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
