3 GENERAL REPAIRS
Perform lockout/tagout procedures before adjusting, lubricating,
cleaning or otherwise servicing. Failure to do so could result in unexpected startup and
could cause serious injury or death.
3.1 GENERAL INFORMATION
Overhaul of components in the Maintenance Lift is limited to procedures provided
by manufacturers in Chapter 5, Manufacturers’ Information. Other components
are not recommended for overhaul. Further overhaul must be done at the
manufacturer’s facility or an authorized repair station.
3.2 LIMITED REPAIR ITEMS
Certain components, although not recommended for overhaul, are subject to
limited repair procedures. Repairs consist mainly of removal and replacement of
parts, the installation of seal kits, etc. Components not covered in the overhaul
and repair sections in this manual are not considered reparable items and should
be replaced when defective.
